Hi everyone! Welcome to my blog where I desire to bring awareness to the MS disease through my transparent everyday journey. By sharing a piece of my life, I wish to promote change and inspire those who read. Please enjoy and share these stories with someone who could use a word of encouragement.

Summertime is a great time to get into water exercise outdoors, if possible. Exercising in water is low impact and not stressful to your body! As we age, many of us slow down finding that we can't physically do what we used to, or maybe not able to do it the same way. Perhaps due to an affliction our mobility changes or has been compromised. It's okay, we just have to find creative and safe ways to keep moving! There are exercises you can do in the water that you may not be able to do safely at home or at all. Exercise in the water will strengthen your muscles, improve agility and keep you cool in the process! Remember we all have ability to thrive not just survive!

There were three things that Richard Pryor and I had in common. He was a writer, as am I, and while I was a comedy promoter, he was a comedian/actor/producer. Hence, we both had a love for comedy. The third thing is Multiple Sclerosis! Yes, MS was something that he suffered with but still fought to show up and live, not hiding, because clearly things had changed. I watched “Omit the Logic” and was able to identify some of the things that took place in his physical challenges, which led to his diagnosis of MS. I too lost weight and noticed some of my clothes were quite loose. However, I did work out and did intermittent fasting, so you can certainly lose weight from it. Now I realize I lost muscle and noticed I felt a little weaker. I’m pushing every day to get stronger by staying active, going to therapy and working with a physical trainer. Mr. Richard Pryor, like many people with MS, experienced weakness and ended up using a scooter or wheelchair to remain mobile and, above all, safe. I use a cane, an AFO brace for my drop foot, and occasionally a rolling walker. I pray that I can remain independent and mobile. Sure, I have ups and downs, some good and bad days, but overall, I’m blessed and grateful I can still dress myself and go to the bathroom without assistance. Don’t get me wrong, I’m in pain every day, but I push past it, and when it’s too much I stay still and rest. Fighting fatigue is a constant struggle, but I find a way to modify what needs to get done. We all have to deal with trials, whether financial, physical or something else. Seek God in the process and he will give direction about your circumstance, while providing you with peace. Mr. Richard Pryor inspired me once again, not just through his art but through his display of courage! This is simply my interpretation. We all have a story and different viewpoints.

Women are ready to stand in the midst of adversity and not go our own way. We stand on our faith and get on our knees and pray. We dodge the bullets, slings, and snares we face in our lives Because of the Blood of the Lamb Jesus Christ! The weapons of our warfare are not carnal But built by His Spirit is how we battle. The battle is not ours, it’s the Lords, But He has equipped us with His word, our sword! If you knew Him like we do, you too would be in awe And we stand in position as we battle WAR. Women Are Ready!
